Jennifer Brennan, R.M.T.
Upon graduating with honors from an intensive 3 year program in Health Sciences, Jennifer successfully challenged provincial board exams and began her clinical practice as a Registered Massage Therapist in Ottawa, ON.
In an effort to expand upon her clinical experience and training, Jennifer moved to Kelowna, British Columbia and completed additional training in spinal orthopedics, advanced therapeutic techniques and research courses. Currently, she enjoys practicing in both BC and Ontario. During her visits to Kelowna, she works with patients at OHP.
Her focus is traditional massage therapy supporting the concept of pain-relief, restoration of the body's proper biomechanical abilities and the often over-looked effects of general relaxation. Clients often report that after treatment they feel symptom relief as well as a sense of feeling refreshed and balanced. Treatment techniques often involve a selection of Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Techniques and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Functioning Techniques.
Jennifer welcomes clients with all general health care needs, but specializes in the area of long-term pain management, chronic illness or disorders such as fibromyalgia, and issues related to stress management.
Other career highlights include working with the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Association in the treatment and management of sports-related injuries for athletes with special needs, volunteering at the Ironman Canada Competition, participating in a long-term repetitive strain study at the Kelowna General Hospital and completing research dedicated to the development of a National Training and Testing Standards for Registered Massage Therapists in all regulated provinces.
Outside of the office you will often find Jennifer cycling, hiking, doing yoga, hosting friends with great food and drink or reading outside in the afternoon sun.
